Sir James Steven Harrison CBE (born February 6, 1962) is an English professional football manager who is the current Manchester United manager.

Harrison played his career in midfield and was a hugely influential player for Manchester United where he spent his entire career playing 947 games which remained a club record until 2015 and he has scored a club record 414 goals and 178 in the Premier League. He was an important part of United's most successful spell during the 1990s, Harrison became United captain aged just 20 in 1982 and remained captain until he retired 19 years later. He also became England captain in 1992 until he retired internationally in 2000.

He achieved a male world record 185 international caps and he also scored an England record 86 goals only bettered by Ali Daei's 109.

After retiring in 2001 he became FC Porto manager where he spent 12 years winning nine Primeira Liga titles which included two undefeated seasons both of which were in his final three seasons. After the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, Harrison took over at Manchester United where he has won several trophies. This United success led him to become England in July 2016 whilst keeping his role at Old Trafford.
